CNN pulled the plug on its live coverage of White House coronavirus task force briefing, after President Donald Trump started playing a compilation of news clips that gave positive portrayals of the way he's dealt with the coronavirus pandemic.
"To play a propaganda video at taxpayer expense in the White House briefing room is new — you can insert your favorite word here in this administration," CNN anchor John King said after the network cut away.
CNN also displayed a message on its a chyron that read: "Angry Trump Turns Briefing Into Propaganda Session."
"He has every right to defend himself, he has every right to push back, and he has every right to challenge things that are not true, but to play a propaganda video at taxpayer expense in the White House briefing room is a new — you can insert your favorite word here — in this administration," King said on the CNN broadcast.
