Potential presidential contenders Hillary Rodham Clinton and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are campaigning for Pennsylvania's gubernatorial candidates in the state's voter-rich southeast corner.
At a Thursday afternoon rally at the Valley Forge Military Academy, Christie delivered a tough, 15-minute speech in support of Republican Gov. Tom Corbett.
He says Corbett has served with honesty and integrity, but he attacked Corbett's Democratic challenger, Tom Wolf, as a man who "will lie in order to obtain power."
Christie chairs the Republican Governors Association, which is Corbett's biggest campaign donor. Wolf is a first-time candidate who ran a family business. He holds a strong lead in independent polls.
Clinton is headlining an evening "Women for Wolf" rally at the Constitution Center in downtown Philadelphia.
