The cream of the GOP crop for the 2016 presidential election will all be in one place for a fundraiser next month.
Five of those seen as most likely to run for the White House will be at a fundraiser hosted by New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus,
Politico reports.
The event will throw together New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who have been at odds over the
place libertarians have in the party.
Earlier this month, Christie rejected the idea of the two men
getting together over a beer to iron out their differences.
Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida will join Christie and Paul as headliners at the Sept. 23 event at Johnson's home, with Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin appearing as a special guest.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, who has not so far been mentioned as a top-flight presidential candidate, will also be a special guest at the event.
