President Donald Trump ripped into Joe Biden, saying people in "dark shadows" are controlling the Democratic Party's presidential nominee.
The president made his comments on Monday night during an interview on the Fox News show "The Ingraham Angle."
Asked who he believed was pulling Biden's strings, Trump replied: "People you've never heard of. People that are in the dark shadows."
Host Laura Ingraham noted that it sounded like a conspiracy theory.
"People you haven't heard of," Trump said. "They're people that are on the streets. They're people that are controlling the streets. We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend and in the plane it was almost completely loaded with thugs wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms with gear and this and that. They are on a plane."
Pressed for more details, he said: "I will tell you sometime, but it's under investigation right now. But they came from a certain city and this person was coming to the Republican National Convention."
And he added: "A lot of people were in the plane to do big damage."
According to Fox News, Trump also blasted Black Lives Matter, calling it a "Marxist organization." "You remember [them chanting] 'Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon' [in 2015]," he said.
Meanwhile, Biden condemned the violence at recent protests and blamed Trump for "stoking violence in our cities."
"He can't stop the violence because for years he's fomented it," Biden said on Monday.
