Joe Biden’s inaugural committee is seeking donations of $500,000 per individual and $1 million per organization or company, which will grant the donors an online event with Biden, Kamala Harris and their spouses.
The “chair” level of fundraising packages also includes preferred viewing for the “virtual inauguration,” VIP participation in a virtual concert, virtual signed photos, and four tickets to an in-person event on a date yet to be determined, a document detailing the levels of donations obtained by CNBC says.
Oil and gas companies as well as lobbyists are barred from donating.
Those donating $500,000 per organization or company and $250,000 per individual will be considered “vice chairs” and will receive an “invitation to virtual event with the Vice President-elect & Second Gentleman-elect,” and a “VIP participation in virtual concert during Inauguration Week and invitation to virtual Inauguration.” It also comes with two tickets to a future in-person event.
Donation opportunities, at least for the top level, also include “champion” for $250,000 per organization or company and $100,000 per person; and “supporter” for $50,000 per organization/company and $25,000 per individual.
Bank of America, which according to the Center for Responsive Politics donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural, will give $1 million to Biden’s event, CNBC said.
Coca-Cola, which gave $335,000 to Trump’s event, had not decided as of Monday if it would do likewise for Biden.
“As you know this is a very different year and as such we have not yet made a decision regarding a financial contribution to the inauguration,” Coca-Cola spokeswoman Ann Moore said.
