Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., says he’s concerned about President Donald Trump’s concession to China to allow Huawei to buy products from U.S. suppliers, insisting the company is a security threat.

In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Barrasso compared the deal to a “Trojan horse.”

"I think Huawei is a threat to the national security of America,” he declared. “I know the president is a dealmaker… to me Huawei would be like a Trojan horse.”

“I think the cease fire with China is important,” adding the Huawei trade “would be the last part of the talks.”

“It does concern me” that Trump isn’t ruling out trade involving Huawei.

Barrasso also said he doesn’t believe private companies akin to those running detention centers for illegal immigrants at the southern border should make a profit off the venture.

“We have a system that’s incentivizing them to take this long trip,” he lamented about the migrant influx, but said: “No, people shouldn’t be profiting” from the crisis, saying bipartisan legislation will make “sure benefits are removed for these companies.”
