Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel jabbed former President Barak Obama for his plans to campaign for Democratic candidates in advance of the midterm elections.
"I hope President Obama does as good of a job for the candidates he is campaigning for as he did for Hillary Clinton – because that didn’t work," she said during a Friday interview on Fox’s "America’s Newsroom."
"The Obama administration and their policies were rejected in 2016 when we elected Donald Trump," she said. "And I think it’s a good time to contrast where have we come since the Obama presidency. Today you get 201,000 jobs added to the economy. We’re at 3.9 percent unemployment -- a. 50-year low. Two years in, we've seen a total reversal in our economy.
Obama is set to start campaigning on Saturday in California for seven Democrats seeking House seats.
Meanwhile, McDaniel said Republican turnout is key to the November elections.
"It’s important we get out our vote," she said.
