Citing an unspecified conflict, New York attorney Steven Molo has turned down an opportunity to serve on President Donald Trump legal team, CNN is reporting.
The news network said people close to Trump had been in contact with Molo, who is a former prosecutor. And CNN noted the approach to Molo came after attorneys Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing would not be part of the Trump legal team due to conflicts.
High-profile attorney Theodore Olson, has also declined an offer to join the Trump legal team. He reportedly cited too many potential conflicts of interest with his law firm.
Meanwhile, Molo told CNN: "I regret a current conflict related to the investigation prevents me from representing the president at this time."
