Andy Biggs to Newsmax TV: Fox Inappropriately Called Arizona for Biden

By    |   Thursday, 05 November 2020 01:11 PM EST

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., told Newsmax TV on Thursday that Fox News’ calling Arizona for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden “doesn’t seem appropriate” since about “a million votes” had yet to be counted.

Biggs told “John Bachman Now” that when Fox called Arizona for Biden on election night, many voters in the state were still waiting to cast their ballot, and about a million votes that had been cast hadn’t yet been counted.

“There were a million ballots that haven't even been counted in Arizona when they made the call,” he said, adding that “glitches” and long lines caused polling locations to remain open late into the evening, since Arizona law requires polling places to stay open for anyone who remains in line when the polls closed.

“Whether that suppressed votes or not, I'm not sure. But it doesn't seem appropriate for them to do that, especially when you had a million votes that were going to be counted yet.”

He added, “a third of our votes, and they were making the call.”
