President Donald Trump is like a doctor with a bad bedside manner – but that's better than one who's nice "but my family member dies in the hospital bed," Mike Huckabee says.
In a defense of the young Trump presidency, the former Arkansas governor offered the analogy in an interview Monday on "Fox & Friends."
"He can be crude and he can come across sometimes less than people think," Huckabee said. "But by golly, the patient is alive, and I'd rather have this president who gets things done, than one who comes in and he's nice, and he smiles, but my family member dies in the hospital bed."
"America needs to say two words to Donald Trump: 'Thank you,'" he declared.
Huckabee specifically praised Trump for "creating a new environment with our foreign friends across the world," for "repudiating regulations," and for "creating a market where the stock market is sky high."
