NBC's Todd: Don't Celebrate This 'Political Hot Potato' Just Yet

Republicans are jumping the gun on celebrating House passage of an Obamacare repeal-and-replacement bill, NBC News "Meet The Press" host Chuck Todd tweeted Thursday.

How is a public celebration of a bill that is only a third of the way to passage a good idea? To say this is premature is an understatement

In a second post, Todd predicted the legislation, which now heads to the Senate, will be "the hottest of political hot potatoes" for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

According to The Hill, McConnell can only afford two defections in the Senate over the bill to pass it through the "budget reconciliation" process with 50 votes.
