The top-ranked Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee is pressuring his Republican colleagues to publicly release the transcript of the panel's grilling of Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson.

According to Business Insider, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said in a statement he wants to see his committee do what Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., did last week with her own panel's interview of Simpson over what he knew regarding the infamous Trump dossier.

"In light of the selective leaks of Mr. Simpson's testimony and the misleading manner in which Fusion GPS' role has been characterized, I support releasing the transcript," Schiff said Monday.

"The Majority has released transcripts of Dr. [Carter] Page and Mr. [Erik] Prince when it suited their interests, and likewise should make an exception here."

Fusion GPS contracted a former British spy to produce the dossier after it was hired to provide opposition research on Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. The document contains scandalous allegations about Trump himself and raised the possibility his campaign had ties to Russia.
