Antifa, the ultra-left organization that has been identified as a domestic risk factor, is planning a series of protests and actions across the U.S. on November 4. These protests are in conjunction with an organization called Refuse Fascism, whose goal is to unseat President Trump and Vice President Pence.
In NYC we saw Antifa and Refuse Fascism palmcarding/recruiting on the subway this week.
November 4 coincides with Russia’s Unity Day and raises a number of questions to the political theory and real goals of the #RefuseFascism organization. The protests also call for non-specific revolution and seem to be stitching together a number of grievances from climate change to immigration, without a recommendation on how to remedy them.
Newsweek has noted conflicting perspectives on the planned rallies and their intent – as well as the visibility of the organization – it’s having taken out a full page ad in the NYTimes.
As the LAPD has already identified the Saturday protests as a potential tinderbox we are cautioning readers in major cities around the protests, as previous Antifa-related rallies have devolved into violence and clashes.
