Dan Hueber, agricultural expert and author of The Hueber Report, says the numbers in the USDA Crop Report released Friday are close to what was expected.
"The numbers were really very much in line with what the trade was anticipating here today," Hueber told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV.
However, Hueber did say that there is concern about wheat production this year.
"If you go down into the Texas-Oklahoma-Kansas region, it's very, very dry down there," Hueber said. "We're looking at reduced wheat stocks."

Fortunately, the wheat problems seems to be "isolated," and is not a problem worldwide, he explained.
However, Hueber said that the "biggest concern yet is California."
"The drought continues out there, so many of our fruits and vegetables, dairy products, you name it, come from that state and really not much relief in sight there," he said.
"Right now, nothing on the horizon is saying that it's going to improve anytime soon out there. That problem is going to take a little while to take care of itself," Hueber added.
