Don't expect Stephen Colbert to be as edgy when he takes over "The Late Show" from David Letterman,
Mediaite.com editor and writer Noah Rothman says.
"I’m of the opinion that this isn't going to be an especially big deal," Rothman told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV. "I can’t imagine that he's going to be doing the [material] that he does on Comedy Central.
"I would be shocked if they do something very political over there. It's probably going to be closer to the [late]-night show format that we're all used to."
On Thursday, CBS announced that Colbert, host of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" since 2005, will succeed Letterman. Letterman has said he plans to step down some time next year.
