The controversial arms deal the United States has hammered out with Iran creates a pathway for Iran to develop a nuclear bomb, says Rich Lowry, a columnist and editor of The National Review.
"It doesn't stop their enriching uranium . . . and they'll keep doing that and keep spinning their centrifuges and take that as an implicit concession that they have a right to do it," Lowry told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"The fact is, we're very likely going down a path here where the Iranians will get a bomb or get very close to having a bomb," he said Monday.
The deal puts Israel in a very tough spot, Lowry says. "Because now it [Israel] would really appear to be the international spoiler crossing its main patron, the United States, if it were going to take action in these circumstances," he said.
"You can understand why they're furious and why the Arab states are furious. As Joe Scarborough [said on MSNBC], maybe this is a sign the president does deserve his peace prize, because he's gotten the Arabs and the Israelis to finally agree on something: on what a disaster his policy is."
