There's a reason Republicans are not as gung-ho as they might be on probing the IRS' scrutiny of conservative groups: they dislike one of its targets, the tea party, a Newsmax panel on "The Steve Malzberg Show'' concludes.
"My concern is, and I hate to pick this nit, but I think it’s a pretty big nit, I don't think the leadership of the Republican Party is particularly interested in investigating the IRS scandal," said Seton Motley, founder of Less Government.
"They don't like tea party a whole lot more than Democrats do and this administration does.''
Economist Peter Morici, a professor at the University of Maryland, said that "unfortunately," House Majority Speaker John Boehner and the tea party, "can't get along when they should get along."
