Charles Hurt: Hillary May Not Run for Health Reasons

Friday, 18 April 2014 06:45 PM EDT

It's by no means a given that Hillary Clinton will run for president — and the former first lady and secretary of state's health may be the reason, according to Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt.

"I still see a huge chance that Hillary doesn't run," Hurt told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"I've always thought … there's something up with her health I think that we just don't know about, because everybody's acting very strangely about all that.

"[And] she is a lot older than when she [first] ran and there are a lot of things in the world that she would rather probably do."

Story continues below video.

Hurt adds that there is a "deep, deep abhorrence with the Clintons as with the Bushes" that has yet to register.

"Once Americans turn back to politics, which they're not tuned into right now, that being tired of the Clintons is going to take a heavy, heavy toll on her," Hurt said.

"And [it] could be strong enough that [it] either convinces her not to do it, or if she does do it, [it] could completely ruin her."
