Conservatives have new ammunition in their claim that the mainstream media leans to the left, according to Noah Rothman, a writer and editor at the media watchdog website, Mediaite.com.
A University of Indiana study found
a mere 7 percent of journalists in the United States lean towards the GOP, while 28 percent consider themselves Democrats.
"Overall, it'd probably be great if all journalists identified as independent, even if you are a political reporter or not," Rothman told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"But it is certainly something that conservatives are going to run with because they have known for some time that reporting, particularly political reporting, slants to the left and this is just a confirmation of that."
