Washington Examiner's Ferrechio: House Set to Vote on Debt Deal Tonight

By    |   Tuesday, 15 October 2013 05:46 PM EDT

A plan to end the federal budget and debt ceiling crises should be hammered out by Tuesday evening, Susan Ferrechio, chief congressional correspondent of the Washington Examiner, says.

"The House Republicans have put together a plan that they are going to take up potentially by tonight," Ferrechio told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Story continues below video.

"That would extend the debt ceiling to February and fund the government through December and it would include an amendment that would eliminate the healthcare subsidies for Congressional staffers and I believe White House employees as well under the new healthcare law."

But Ferrechio said the tea party is not happy.

"They've disappointed a lot of conservatives by taking out all of the Obamacare language," she said.
