Democrats are taking a beating over Obamacare now, but Republican lawmakers will likely force another government shutdown and put themselves back in the doghouse, says Christopher Hahn, former senior aide to Democratic U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York.
"The American people are wishy-washy and they go back and forth about this stuff," Hahn told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newmax TV.

"The Republicans shut down the government, which they'll do again, or they'll overreach on something else . . . The American people are not too cool with that," he said Tuesday.
Hahn, a political consultant, acknowledged that the rollout of the Affordable Care Act has been "poorly managed, to say the least."
"That has almost everything to do with [President Barack Obama's] poll numbers dropping, especially considering in October we were all talking about the government shutdown and blaming the Republicans, and [Sen.] Ted Cruz was the most hated man in America," Hahn said.
"Quite frankly, Republicans should be very mad at Cruz for causing that shutdown because they would have had another four weeks of this, and God knows where their numbers would be today."
