Charles Hurt: Media Too Hard on Rove Over Hillary's Health

Wednesday, 14 May 2014 07:45 PM EDT

The media was far too aggressive in going after Republican strategist Karl Rove for raising questions about Hillary Clinton's health, Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt says.

"It's a fairly mundane, routine thing to be asking about, but my goodness, the way the media came down on him like a hammer!'' Hurt told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newmax TV.

"It reveals just how much blowback anybody faces if they really do press on these questions and try to get to the bottom of it.

"Officially we don't know what she's going to release, but I know this, she'll have plenty of protection if she decides not to release any of this," Hurt said Wednesday.

Rove reportedly suggested that Clinton might have suffered brain damage from a blood clot that hospitalized her in 2009. Rove denied saying that, but acknowledged that he did have questions about Clinton's health.
