The official kickoff of Obamacare on Tuesday will mark a "sad day" for the United States, according to Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.
"It's going to be an incredibly sad day. It's going to be a very confusing day," Blackburn, a Republican, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"The program's not ready for prime time. It's too expensive to afford."

Americans are not only about to face a "rate shock" with healthcare premiums, she said, but companies will begin to issue pink slips to employees.
"They [will] say, well, I guess it's finally going to go on the books and so we've got to cut our employees, and it's going to be a very tough day," Blackburn said.
She also criticized the Senate for taking last weekend off in the midst of a national economic crisis.
"I can't even begin to imagine what would have happened to [members of the House] if we had been off at ball games and playing all weekend and hadn't been working. I can't even imagine what the American people would be doing and saying right now," Blackburn said.
"And they'd have a right to. And the American people have the right to be furious with the Senate. They take off Friday afternoon and are gone the rest of Friday, all day Saturday, all day Sunday, and half of Monday."
