Join Newsmax TV this weekend for a "Special Sunday Event: Are We Alone?" which kicks off at 7 p.m./ET.
7 p.m./ET: "The Secret KGB UFO Files" — For five decades, American agencies have stockpiled mountains of information on UFOs, from the alleged crash of an alien ship at Area 51 to the alleged abduction by Space creatures of Betty and Barney Hill, to the ongoing sightings of unexplainable aircraft. But few people know that America's counterparts behind the Iron Curtain were also busy at work studying these mysterious events.
9 p.m./ET: "World's Greatest Mysteries: Flights Over Area 51: American Experiments or Alien Aircraft?" — The "World's Greatest Mysteries" marathon begins with the case of the mysterious flights over Area 51, a top secret U.S. Air Force facility in the Nevada desert that is rumored to hold solid proof of alien life. The Air Force says Area 51 in Nevada supports development and testing of experimental aircraft, and weapons systems — but area residents have spotted strangely shaped flying crafts going in and out of the base. So are they really American military experiments or aliens who have made communication with our government. The program includes a jolting interview with a man, who, as a teenage science prodigy, was allowed on the base. He tells an amazing account of science and engineering far advanced from any known on earth.
9:30 p.m./ET: "World's Greatest Mysteries: Phoenix Lights: UFO Flyovers or Military Test Flights?" — In this investigation, we look at the strange case of the so-called “Phoenix Lights.” The strange sightings over the southwestern United States in March 1997, lasted three hours, and was witnessed by thousands of people. They marveled at a triangular formation of lights passing over head, and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area. So far researchers and investigators have been unable to furnish a plausible explanation. But Newsmax TV gets to the bottom of this bizarre case with definitive scientific explanations and amazing, never-before-seen footage of the lights.
10 p.m./ET: "World's Greatest Mysteries: Roswell UFO: Weather Balloon or Flying Disc?" — Next, we explore what may be America’s most unusual case involving a UFO: the flying saucer over Roswell, New Mexico. On July 8, 1947, the Roswell Army Air Field issued a terse press release stating that base personnel had recovered a crashed "flying disc" from a nearby desert ranch. But later that day, the Commanding General of the Eighth Air Force inexplicably recanted the announcement. Rumors soon circulated that government agents had located a UFO, complete with the small body of an alien. Could this be the most shocking government cover-up of the 20th century? Newsmax TV unveils the truth.
10:30 p.m./ET: "World's Greatest Mysteries: Kecksburg UFO: Meteorite or Extraterrestrial Crash?" — And finally, Newsmax TV looks at the strange case of the “Kecksburg UFO.” On Dec. 9, 1965, a large fireball was seen by thousands of spectators as it rocketed over six states. The residents of Kecksburg, near Pittsburgh, looked on in awe as the fireball crashed into the woods. Racing to to the crash site, they discovered an acorn-shaped copper object, the size of a Volkswagen Beetle. The military quickly seized the object and issued statements identifying it as a meteorite that had fallen to Earth. But eyewitnesses strongly disagreed. We examine why the military has remained silent about this mysterious object for half a century and what the real story is!
