Democrats shouldn't rest on their laurels thinking that they will always draw the majority of female voters, says CNN host and former Obama administration official
Van Jones.
Republicans "have been doing pretty well these past couple of years with regard to women," Jones said Tuesday during a discussion on CNN on the GOP primary elections, which are expected to skew toward establishment candidates.
"I think the same thing holds for Hispanics," CNN contributor and Republican strategist Ana Navarro said. Though Democrats are successful in luring the Hispanic vote in national elections, more Hispanic Republicans are elected statewide than Democrats, she said.
"A lot of that has to do with diversity of thought when it comes to Hispanics in the Republican Party. In the Democratic Party, they run in districts specifically drawn for them," Navarro said.
