If efforts by President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the election fail and Joe Biden is sworn is an president Jan. 20, he would enter office as the "most doubted president in American history," Trump campaign senior adviser Steve Cortes, tells Newsmax TV.
"There would be a dark cloud over him, and that's not just my opinion," Cortes told "Stinchfield" host Grant Stinchfield on Tuesday, noting 77% of Trump voters, according to Monmouth, say they believe this election has been stolen.
"Even a sizable amount of Democrats are willing to concede that this election was stolen at the presidential level," he said.
So if Joe Biden believes he won, he should welcome scrutiny if he wants to enter office with any semblance of a mandate, Cortes said.
"I'm not gonna hold my breath," he said, "but that is the reality that would be the patriotic thing to do for our country."
