Fans of fantasy football — a $70 billion industry — now have their own TV network.
The DirecTV Fantasy Zone Channel is a "Bloomberg News-esque" service for NFL fanatics who create their own fantasy leagues, according to Rob Stecklow, general manager of sports and marketing and head of NFL production for DirecTV.
It will provide game-to-game fantasy analysis and statistics, multiple revolving on-screen tickers offering real-time stats, highlights, projections, and key player updates.

"This channel will go around the league quicker," Stecklow said Friday to Joe Concha, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV. "We have a doctor on set who can break down injuries … What is a turf toe mean if someone gets a turf toe in the first half? Is he going to play? Should we start looking at the waiver wires?"
Stecklow said fantasy football will never be as big as mainstream team fandom, but the new channel is "another way for our fans to really get excited about football, sit back, relax and enjoy."
