Katrina Pierson to Newsmax TV: Black Lives Matter, Not TikTok Users, Limited Tulsa Crowd

Senior adviser to President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign Katrina Pierson discounted any influence social media users had on limiting the crowd at Trump’s political rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday, instead blaming Black Lives Matter protesters for blocking some wannabe attendees.

Pierson on Newsmax TV Monday rebuked claims that users of the TikTok social media/video sharing app flooded the registration site with fake requests for reservations, which was cheered in a tweet by New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“It’s definitely not the TikTok crowd, as much as AOC and the goons want to claim,” Pierson said on “Greg Kelly Reports.” “Because we actually have an algorithm in place to weed out fake numbers and information.

“However, I will say that there were a lot of Trump supporters that were kept outside because of the Black Lives Matter protesters. The photos are out there. The media will not cover it, because it’s easier for them to show AOC and TikTok taking credit for what they want to say is shutting down a Trump rally, than it is to show the disruption and suppression of Trump voters outside of the gates.”

Pierson was reacting to host Greg Kelly’s question regarding the crowd, which was less than the capacity of the 19,000-seat BOK Center despite campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeting out earlier in the week that more than 1 million requests for entry had been received.

Tulsa fire officials estimated the crowd at 6,200, which the Trump campaign disputed. Pierson put the number at 12,000.

“And look, I don’t know where the numbers are coming from, because 12,000 people entered that arena,” she said. “So maybe 6,000 people went outside and came back in.”
