FBI agent Peter Strzok's contentious testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Thursday shows he remains a "partisan" witness who is toying with his interrogators, Jeffrey Lord, a columnist for The American Spectator, told Newsmax TV.
"In this particular situation, it's crystal clear that Mr. Strzok is playing footsie with the other side, and [the FBI is] there to defend him. The point is, he is still at this minute, a partisan," Lord, who served as an associate political director under President Ronald Reagan, told Thursday's "America Talks Live."

In a tense back and forth, Strzok angrily denied his work has ever been tainted by politics or he tried to stop Donald Trump from becoming president, despite anti-Trump emails he wrote.
Lord said Strozk is not alone in his alleged dislike of the Trump administration.
"This isn't limited," Lord told hosts Miranda Khan, John Cardillo, and Gina Loudon. "I'm writing a book about this. This is not just limited to the FBI. There are people all across the federal bureaucracy who hate the president.
"And they are going to undermine him and help his opponents whoever they may be in any given situation."
While Strzok is still employed by the FBI, Lord believes that must change.
"I think at some point they've got to let him go," Lord said.
