Doug Wead: First Families Should Stay Out of the Limelight

In the wake of controversy over first daughters Malia and Sasha Obama reportedly looking bored during the annual presidential turkey pardon, presidential historian and author Doug Wead appeared on “America’s Forum” Monday to discuss how various presidents have handled the public scrutiny of their children during their time in the White House.

"The best presidents and first ladies, with their children, have been those who have kept their children out of the limelight," Wead, who is the author of  "All the Presidents' Children: Triumph and Tragedy in the Lives of America's First Families" told the Newsmax TV program.
