President Barack Obama came under fire for his handling of the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, and Andrea Bozek, the communications director for the National Republican Congressional Committee, said that it's because "we have a part-time president here."
"Every time that these sorts of tragic incidents occur, we can't find him," Bozek told John Bachman and Francesca Page on
Newsmax TV's "America's Forum" on Friday.

"Benghazi — he was in a Las Vegas fundraiser," she explained. "Down at the border last week, he was nearby, chose to have a beer instead of going down to the border to see the crisis that's going on down there."
"He's clearly a part-time president who is already going on a two-week vacation next week," Bozek said. "We need a real leader in the White House who's going to be willing to work on these crisis situations and take them seriously."
The harshest criticism came from Piers Morgan via Twitter.
Democratic strategist Bridget Todd told Newsmax that Obama shouldn't be blamed too much because when the president made his announcement "information was still rolling in — people were not clear on what exactly was going on."
She added that it could be that "the president was perhaps badly prepped."
Obama said Friday that the the downing of the Malaysian jet, which killed 298 people, was an "outrage of unspeakable proportions," and he said that at least one American died.
