The police in Ferguson, Missouri waited way too long to reveal that 18-year-old Michael Brown, whose shooting sparked days of rioting, was a suspect in a robbery, says Roland Martin, host of "NewsOne Now.''
"If Mike Brown was involved in a theft on Saturday, you don't wait six days later to actually say it. That's one of the things you simply don't [do],'' Martin said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on

"The police chief also was dropping hints as opposed to actually being forthcoming with information.
"But at least we're finally getting something from the Ferguson Police Department that's been a joke for the past six days.''
Martin was unarmed when he was shot by a police officer who stopped him as a suspect in an earlier robbery. That sparked protests which resulted in rioting, looting and arson.
