Outrage over broadcaster and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's remark that Democrats believe women "cannot control their libido," proves the media is biased, says Noah Rothman, editor and columnist for the media watchdog Mediaite.com.
"Whatever you think about Mike Huckabee's statement … he's an entertainer," Rothman told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"Time and time again, Republican entertainers and broadcasters are held up whenever they say something that is … perceived as being rude. They're held up as the face of the Republican Party.
"And the reciprocal is never the case [with] Democrat and liberal entertainers."

For example, he said, comedians Sarah Silverman, Lizz Winstead and Bill Maher are never held up as the face of the Democratic Party.
"There is actually a really interesting double standard that goes on here," he said.
Huckabee sparked a furor when he spoke of the allegation by Democrats that Republicans are waging a "war on women."
“If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, so be it," Huckabee said.
