White police officer Darren Wilson may forever be thought of as the cold-blooded killer of black teen Michael Brown — even if he is exonerated by a grand jury, says Matt Lewis, senior contributor for The Daily Caller and contributing editor for The Week magazine.
"In August, we had weeks and weeks and weeks of breathless media coverage coming out of Ferguson, most of which portrayed Michael Brown as a gentle giant," Lewis said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"And now just in recent weeks we've sort of had new evidence come, sort of a leak out that implies that something quite different might have taken place.
"[But] we're still going to be stuck in that original narrative and that may just be how history remembers it."
Wilson fatally shot Brown during a confrontation in Ferguson, Mo., a predominantly African-American suburb of St. Louis. The officer claims he acted in self-defense.
