Marin Katusa: Russia Back to Superpower Status

Russian President Vladimir Putin has re-established his country as a global superpower, says Marin Katusa, chief energy investment strategist at Casey Research.

"Not only that, he's got the other emerging markets working in concert against U.S. interests, globally," Katusa — author of "The Colder War: How the Global Energy Trade Slipped from America's Grasp," published by Wiley — said Thursday on the "Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Western Europe's become more addicted to Russian sources of oil and natural gas."
