Russian leaders still seething over their old Soviet empire's collapse, and a Russian populace fed a steady diet of nationalist state propaganda, are spoiling for a new confrontation with the West, and think they can beat weakened NATO powers and reassert dominance from Ukraine to the Baltics to eastern Europe, foreign correspondent and historical-thriller novelist L. Todd Wood told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner on Newsmax TV on Thursday.
