Larry Klayman: Missing FBI Texts Will Surface

(Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now")

The narrative of there being five months worth of missing text messages between two FBI officials with ties to the Russia investigation is a ruse because they can easily be found, Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV.

Klayman appeared on "Newsmax Now" and discussed the ongoing Russia probe with host Bill Tucker. It was reported this week messages between two FBI officials who previously texted about their support of Hillary Clinton and distaste for then candidate Donald Trump are missing because of a reported glitch.

Klayman said it will be relatively easy to find the missing messages through the cell phone carrier or, if necessary, the NSA.

"Obviously the Internet providers that have them Verizon, Sprint, whatever the government uses on the Samsung phones, they have those text messages," said Klayman, the founder of Freedom Watch. "And of course, the ace in the hole is the National Security Agency. The National Security Agency has all these text messages because they grabbed all of our communications under the USA Freedom Act, and they can be recreated. So, this is a complete ruse."

Klayman then came to the conclusion the FBI cannot be trusted. The two aforementioned FBI officials, agent Peter Strzok and attorney Lisa Page, talked about secret meetings and having an insurance policy in the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Texts that have been made public have stirred conspiracy theories.

"I don't think you can trust the FBI anymore," Klayman said.

Regarding the missing messages, Klayman added, "This was done intentionally, and they hope they can get away with it. It's clear. Things don't happen at the FBI because of a glitch at Samsung."

The Russia investigation seeks to determine whether the Trump campaign colluded with America's Cold War foe. No evidence has been made public that suggests that occurred, and special counsel Robert Mueller is looking to interview Trump soon.

Klayman said Trump needs to get new lawyers and should not automatically sit down with Mueller's team.

"He can't be let into a perjury trap by his lawyers," Klayman said. "He should get new lawyers as I've said before because he walks in there with everything that's going on up to this point and time with witnesses who have pled out, who have probably twisted the truth.

"He needs to take a time out, he needs to get new lawyers, and he needs to tell Mueller 'I need to regroup, and I'll decide whether I want to be interviewed later.'"
