Many judges have deviated from their job descriptions and instead have become "politicians in robes," Freedom Watch founder and former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV on Thursday.
Judges need to be brought back down to Earth and perform their duties of adhering to the Constitution, Klayman told "The Steve Malzberg Show" host Bill Tucker.
"We have 70 to 80 percent of the lower court judges, not withstanding Supreme Court, who have been appointed by Bill Clinton or Barack Obama," Klayman said. "They slow-rolled these cases. The judiciary has become very politicized.
"It's very important that we get judges in there who aren't politicized, who follow the rule of law, who adhere to the strict construction of the Constitution. . . . Judges are really our most important public servants. They protect us from the tyranny of the other two branches of government and our own tyranny, and they haven't been doing that. They've been politicians in robes."

Klayman's Judicial Selection Strike Force Coalition is working with conservative groups to compile a list of potential judges for President-elect Donald Trump to nominate to the bench once he takes office.
"There are 100 unfilled vacancies," Klayman said. "If the Republicans did anything right, it's that they refused to confirm about 100 lower court judges both at the district court level and the appellate level."
Klayman is author of "Whores: Why and How I Came to Fight the Establishment," which describes his efforts to stem abuses in the judiciary and executive branches of government.
