White House Chief of Staff John Kelly has failed to build a strong team around President Donald Trump and, in fact, may not even like the commander in chief, former White House communications director Anthony "The Mooch" Scaramucci told Newsmax TV on Friday.
"One of the legacies that John Kelly is going to have is that I don’t know one person that he brought into the White House that he was able to recruit during his tenure as chief of staff," Scaramucci said on Newsmax’s "America Talks Live."
Scaramucci’s assessment of the retired U.S. Marine Corps general came as the Wall Street Journal reported the president is speaking with advisers about a replacement for Kelly, and that the chief of staff could either resign as soon as this week or after the president's trip to Europe in mid-July.

"And you really need, whether it was Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump, you really need a leader in the White House to bring them along."
Kelly joined the White House inner circle last July, after his predecessor, Reince Priebus, resigned after just six months to become the shortest serving permanent chief of staff in U.S. history.
Scaramucci, who once called Priebus "Rancid Penis" in an interview with Vanity Fair, said he and Kelly both scored zeros in effectively carrying out their duties and that Trump’s next chief of staff must wholeheartedly embrace the president and his agenda.
"I really hope that this time the president picks somebody who actually likes him. I think he’s gone zero for two on that on the last two chiefs of staff," Scaramucci said.
"So let’s find somebody who really likes the president and can build a team around the president that also really likes him and I think that would be great.
"Just think of what the president’s been able to do in the last 16, 17 months and if you had that in addition to everything else just think about the next three years how great they would be."
