Political commentator Michael Reagan on Thursday slammed the U.N. General Assembly vote condemning President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, telling Newsmax TV "it's nice to have a president who doesn't get that permission from somebody at the U.N."
"Why we fund the United Nations at the level that we fund the United Nations is outrageous," former President Ronald Reagan's eldest son told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker in an interview.
"Basically, every country except for Israel votes against us every time they get a chance."

Reagan recalled when the former president ordered the 1986 bombing of Libya in retaliation for the bombing of a West Berlin nightclub that ultimately killed three people, including two U.S. soldiers, and injured 230 others.
"I was in the room when my dad called in and approved going to Libya — and I don't remember him calling the United Nations to ask permission to be president of the United States," Reagan told Tucker.
"I may not agree with him all the time," Reagan said of President Trump, "but it's nice to have a president who doesn't get that permission from somebody at the U.N."
