Iran doesn't care about anyone else's sovereignty, but the Biden administration has made the nation flush with cash accessible by the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas and has created the regional war "you see before you," said retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt.
"What have we learned about Iran?" Holt asked Wednesday during an appearance on Newsmax's "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE" when asked about Iran hitting targets in neighboring Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria with missiles.
"They don't care about anybody else's sovereignty. They're certainly not willing to work with another government to roll up the threat to their own nation, if there is one that exists. They don't care about indiscriminate killing and taking out a couple of kids to go hit their target. But yet our administration has made them flush with cash — with that cash ported into the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas — and has created the regional war you see before you as they go in turbo mode towards nuclear weapons.
"And you can't get anybody in this administration to say the word 'Iran.' ... Why ... would they avoid those terrible headlines that we're just going to do the same policies of the Trump administration in place of the headlines they've generated today: Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iran, we're out of weapons, China, Taiwan, and a wide-open border with fighting-age men all around us?"
Pakistan on Tuesday said Iran had violated its airspace, resulting in the death of two children, hours after Iranian state media said missiles targeted two bases of militant group Jaish al-Adl on Tuesday, The New York Times reported.
Islamabad warned that the incident could have "serious consequences" and was "completely unacceptable" in a statement released by Pakistan's foreign office spokesperson in the early hours of Wednesday.
Following the attack, Iran's defense minister said the country was a "missile power in the world."
"Wherever they want to threaten the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will react. And this reaction will definitely be proportionate, tough and decisive," Iranian military leader Mohammad Reza Ashtiani told reporters.
