Sales of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's book "Hard Choices" have struggled because everything about it is so calculated, says Seton Motley, president of Less Government.

"This is supposed to be this smooth book roll-out, a smooth transition to the presidential campaign, and she keeps blowing herself up," he said.

"This is not getting the dirt off, she's creating dirt as she goes," Motley added.

One example that the Less Government president cites is the comment Clinton made in an interview with ABC News in which she said that she and former President Bill Clinton were "dead broke" when they left the White House.

"This was brand new stuff that she just added to the heap and demonstrates yet again that just because you married political talent doesn't mean you have political talent," he said.
