Franklin Graham, CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, told Newsmax on Thursday that he's praying for our soldiers and the people of Iran.
"God made us. He created us. He loves us. But we don't live in a perfect world. The world is falling apart," Graham said on "Ed Henry: The Big Take." "And the only hope is Jesus Christ.
"Jesus came to save us, to save us from sin and the wars that we see and the fraud and everything else that you see," Graham, the son of legendary preacher Billy Graham, said. "All this is a result of sin.
"And the Bible says, all of us have sinned and come short of God's standard. And yet, Jesus Christ came to take our sins, and he died and shed his blood on a cross on Calvary's hill," Graham continued "He shed his blood. He died. He was buried. And on the third day God raised him to life. And for everyone listening, that is our hope that Jesus Christ conquered death."
Graham said people can repent from their sins and faith just by believing in their heart that Jesus Christ is God's son.
"God will forgive us and cleanse us, and we can have that hope of eternal life one day with him," Graham said. "And so for everyone out there, the only hope for this world is God and His Son, Jesus Christ. And he loves us. He cares for us. And I pray for our men and women that are in harm's way."
Graham also said he prays for the Iranian people, "who have suffered under this terrible regime for 47 years. I pray that there will be an end to this conflict and that they'll be set free."
