President Barack Obama's responses to the atrocities committed by the Islamic State (ISIS) "have been a challenge to follow," says Democratic strategist and radio host Ben Wikler.
Wikler, however, told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on
Newsmax TV on Thursday that despite Obama's confusing comments, "we know the president's policy by the United States' actions."

The host of "The Good Fight" also said Obama shouldn't respond to
the "direct challenge" by ISIS members, as seen in the video before Steven Sotloff is beheaded, in which Obama is cited by the ISIS member in the video, who tells the president that he's "back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State."
"If the president responds in kind, that is lifting the terrorists up to the president's level," Wikler said. "What terrorists want to do is provoke terror. They want to provoke overreaction and hysteria."
"The president maintaining a cool head as he pursues a policy that will destroy this threat is exactly the right move," he added.
Sarah Isgur Flores, deputy communications director for the Republican National Committee, told the Newsmax host "that our response from this administration has been fumbled from the beginning."
"This is the same president who referred to [ISIS] as the 'JV team,'" she noted.
"Then, last week, he told us we had no strategy," she said.
"One thing after another, and you can see why his approval numbers, even among such Democrats, are in free fall right now," Flores added.
