Carrie Sheffield: Chris Christie 'Not Governing Well'

By    |   Wednesday, 26 November 2014 05:27 PM EST

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie survived the so-called "Bridge-gate" scandal, but may have another Achilles' heel in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, says Forbes contributor Carrie Sheffield, a fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute

"New Jersey has had six downgrades since he took office from all three rating agencies," Sheffield told Rick Ungar, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV, on Wednesday.

"I used to rate bonds at Moody's Investor Service. Moody's has downgraded him twice, so he's raided the pension funds, he's creating these unrealistic budget assumptions, so he's just really not governing well."
