Donald Trump's criticism of Ben Carson's membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church goes a bit far, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol tells
Newsmax TV.
"Ben Carson for his religious views, no, that's creepy," Kristol said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show." "I didn't even know Ben Carson is a Seventh-day Adventist."

Trump pointed out over the weekend that he belongs to the "middle of the road" Presbyterian church, but that "I just don't know about" Seventh-day Adventism.
Carson's denomination has been accepted by mainstream American Protestantism and evangelicals for 60 years, Kristol said, and its members were included by evangelist Billy Graham at his crusades.
"So it's not even going to work, this attempt to demonize that particular Protestant sect," Kristol said. "But really, is that what we're now into? I mean who is Donald Trump honestly to be talking about other people's religious beliefs?"
