Former New York City police commissioner Bernie Kerik told Newsmax TV on Friday that President Donald Trump and Attorney General William Barr should “take a very serious look” at FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Kerik, in an interview with “National Report,” said that Wray failed in his probe into the bureau’s conduct while investigating former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and his communications with Russia.
“I think the attorney general and the president have to take a very serious look at Christopher Wray,” Kerik said. “This stuff has been alleged, we thought it was going on, we believed it was going on for the past eighteen months. Where was Christopher Wray? Why didn't he find this? Why did it take the attorney general to assign an assistant U.S. Attorney to go in there and review the files and find this stuff? Why didn't Christopher Wray do it? It was his job; he oversees the FBI. I'm kind of shocked he didn't come forward and do this on his own, and I think this is something the- the attorney general and the president have to look at.”
