WND's Aaron Klein: Benghazi Document-Purge Claim 'a Huge Deal'

Thursday, 18 September 2014 06:30 PM EDT

A bombshell report alleging that confidants of former secretary of State Hillary Clinton were part of an operation to "separate" damaging Benghazi documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board is "a huge deal," says Aaron Klein, senior staff reporter for World News Daily.

"Going through in the basement they said, on a weekend, off hours going through documents obviously begs the question, what was taken out?" Klein said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson broke the story the news blog DailySignal.com, reporting on the allegations made by former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond Maxwell.

The Accountability Review Board is investigating security lapses that led to the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, which resulted in the deaths of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

"Who knows what was taken out, we don’t know … What was [Clinton's] role?" said Klein, who hosts "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on Salem Talk Radio, and and is author of "The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don't Want You to Know."
