Columnist Liz Peek slammed former Obama aide Ben Rhodes' book on Tuesday, telling Newsmax TV that the Democrats' confidence Hillary Clinton would win in 2016 "speaks to the narrow-mindedness of the Obama White House."
"And the people, not only in the White House, but the people around the Democratic machine," Peek, who writes for The Fiscal Times, told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman.
"They, and this includes Hillary Clinton, never imagined she could lose to Donald Trump — which says a lot about their lack of understanding about Trump voters, about the issues Trump voters cared about."

In his book, "The World as It Is," Rhodes said Trump's November 2016 victory bushwhacked Obama's team, leaving the outgoing struggling with the election's outcome for weeks.
In interviews promoting the book, Rhodes said that "we had a confidence that Hillary would win."
"They never imagined they were wrong for eight years," Peek told Bachman. "This was a group that really thought it had all the answers and was very smug.
"I, frankly, don't want to spend a whole lot of time taking Ben Rhodes very seriously."
