Hillary Clinton will tour one of Florida's epicenters for treatment of the Zika virus with a Republican mayor in tow.
On Tuesday, the Democratic presidential nominee is scheduled to visit a branch of the Borinquen Health Care Center in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood.
Accompanying Clinton will be Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, who the Clinton campaign invited along for the tour, according to The Miami Herald.
The center reportedly has more than 1,300 patients identified as being potentially at-risk for the Zika infection, a mosquito-borne virus that can cause rare but serious birth defects.
It's in a one-square-mile area north of downtown Miami which is considered a Zika "hot zone" that health officials urge pregnant women to avoid, The Washington Post reports.
The Herald says the Clinton camp hopes to win the support of Gimenez, who first endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the GOP presidential nomination, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio, both of whom dropped out.
